Christian Ministry Leaders Series
The Role of Pastors and Christians in Civil Government
In this, a presidential election year, we are pleased to be able to host a nationally recognized speaker from WallBuilders for our Fall program.
Our speaker, Rick Green, will bring history to life as he traces the influence of pastors and devout Christians in all aspects of American life and culture. This presentation will contain compelling historical and Biblical facts that promote and inspire patriotism. It will also help you to understand and solidify leadership in your own congregation and community.
Rick Green has served in both church and state, being a leader not only in his local church but also as a Texas State Representative. He has a BBA in finance and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law. Rick has influenced tens of thousands of Americans to become salt and light in their communities, helping them understand their dual citizenship and responsibilities as citizens of both Heaven and of the United States. He has a solid Biblical worldview and is an excellent teacher of how Biblical principles and Christian values relate to current events and every aspect of life.
“Rick is a down-to-earth, passionate speaker, with a heart that truly seeks to honor and glorify God. His presentation is inspiring and his character is even more so. We were blessed to have him come.”

Budget Counseling
If you were going to build a house, you would need a house plan. This plan would tell you the size of the house, and how big each room would be. It would tell you where the windows would go and how high to make the ceilings. You would see where to put the plumbing for the bathrooms and kitchen. Obviously, you wouldn’t be able to know all these things without the house plan. Plans are necessary in order to reach a goal.- The same is true in handling your finances. Not knowing where your money is going makes it very difficult, at best, to plan for expenses that must be paid (heat, electric, home, insurance, etc.). Creating a budget is the best way to ensure there are enough funds available to pay your bills each month. Knowing the amounts of both your income and expenses will allow you to have a plan in place in order to meet your needs.
