Provider Bio

Since my school days to the present I have naturally been drawn to helping people overcome life’s struggles. This desire grew stronger as I led a youth group which reached out to at-risk teenagers and was captivated by the true heart within. Sometime in my forties, I felt a nudge from God to broaden my scope of influence and pursue a degree in professional counseling. I wish I could say I plunged forward with open arms, but in reality I first had to face my fear of failure and the strong desire to remain in the land of safety, comfort, and my well worn path of complacency.

Graciously, God led the way, crossed my path with just the right people, adjusted my sails when necessary and gave me the strength and fortitude to complete the call “for such a time as this.” I am excited, honored, and humbled to come alongside people on this journey called life through both the battles and the blessings. I look forward to joining with you through the process of healing, hope, and restoration.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, singing around a campfire, kayaking, gardening, and reading. My husband and I have a passion for horses and are certified in the EAGALA model of equine assisted psychotherapy. The EAGALA model is utilized for all ages and stages of therapy and is especially helpful for children and teenagers.
